Pump.fun is a one-click memecoin launchpad on Solana. It went live in January 2024 and quickly became the default place to mint new tokens on the chain. Anyone can spin up a coin in under a minute by paying a small fee (originally around 0.02 SOL), and the new token starts trading immediately against SOL on a bonding curve. No team, no whitepaper, no presale required.
The project is run by a UK-based team led by Alon Cohen (known online as Alon) and Noah Tweedale (Noah), with several early contributors who stayed anonymous. By late 2024 and early 2025 Pump.fun was the highest-revenue crypto application by daily fees, briefly pulling in more per day than Solana network fees or Tether issuance. Daily revenue topped $7M at peak. PUMP, the protocol token, launched July 12, 2025 in one of the largest public ICOs in crypto history.
PUMP trades against USDT, USDC, and SOL on most major spot venues. Live data on this page comes from a multi-venue feed and refreshes every 60 seconds. The reference quote is volume-weighted across the deepest order books, so it tracks where real size is filling rather than any single exchange print.
What actually moves PUMP on a given week:
The numbers in the price card above are live. For multi-year scenarios, see our Pump.fun price forecast.
A Pump.fun launch is not a presale. Anyone pays the launch fee, picks a name and image, and the token deploys against SOL on a bonding curve. The curve sets the price algorithmically: each buy pushes the price up along the curve, each sell drags it back down. There is no pre-mine, no team allocation by default, and no liquidity pool to seed.

Most launches never graduate. Hundreds of thousands of coins have been deployed, and only a small percentage clear $69k market cap. The bonding curve is brutal but transparent: the rules are the same for every token, and the math is on-chain.
PumpSwap launched in March 2025 as Pump.fun’s in-house AMM. Before PumpSwap, every graduated token migrated to Raydium, which meant Pump.fun did the discovery work and Raydium kept the swap fees. PumpSwap closes that loop. Routing competition with Jupiter and Raydium has been a defining storyline since.
PumpSwap is the piece that turns Pump.fun from a launchpad into a full memecoin trading stack. The launchpad creates the supply, the AMM keeps the volume, and PUMP holders earn from both legs.
PUMP launched on July 12, 2025 at $0.004 in one of the largest public sales crypto has seen. The total supply is 1,000,000,000,000 (1T). Initial circulation was 33%, roughly 330B tokens, sold straight to the public. The ICO raised about $600M in roughly twelve minutes and drew significant regulatory scrutiny in the days that followed.
The ICO printed an all-time high for PUMP shortly after listing. PUMP is now traded on Binance, Coinbase, OKX, Bybit, KuCoin, and Bitget, all added through 2025 as the supply found a clearing price.
For most of 2024 and into 2025, Pump.fun was the highest-revenue protocol in crypto by daily fees. That is not a marketing claim; on-chain dashboards consistently put it ahead of Solana network fees and Tether issuance on its biggest days, with daily revenue passing $7M at peak.
The honest caveat: revenue is wildly volatile. Memecoin cycles compress fast. A week of $7M days can give way to weeks of $200k days. The buy-back keeps a floor under PUMP only as long as the underlying flow holds up.
PUMP is widely listed and easy to buy. The choice is mostly between holding on a centralized exchange or moving the tokens to a Solana wallet for self-custody. A typical flow looks like this:
PUMP holdings sit on Solana, so any wallet that supports SPL tokens works. Avoid bridging PUMP to other chains unless you have a specific reason; wrapped versions add counterparty risk for no real benefit.
PUMP risk is structural, not just price-chart risk. The token is a leveraged bet on Solana memecoin activity, on the team’s ability to keep PumpSwap winning fee share, and on a regulatory environment that has not finished forming an opinion about launchpads.
